Nārada said: On witnessing this great destruction, all the devarṣi-s, the siddha-s and the supreme riṣi-s were extremely distressed.
नारद ने कहा: इस महान विनाश को देखकर सभी देवर्षि, सिद्ध और परम ऋषि अत्यंत व्यथित हुए।
They were ones who had conquered anger, mastered their souls and senses. Stirred by compassion for the universe, they went to the grandfather's abode.
वे ऐसे लोग थे जिन्होंने क्रोध पर विजय पा ली थी, अपनी आत्मा और इंद्रियों पर नियंत्रण पा लिया था। ब्रह्माण्ड के प्रति करुणा से उद्वेलित होकर वे पितामह के निवास पर गये।
There they saw the grandfather seated with the gods, surrounded by siddha-s and brahmarṣi-s. The god Mahādeva was there, with Agni and Vāyu.
वहाँ उन्होंने पितामह को देवताओं के साथ बैठे हुए देखा, जो सिद्धों और ब्रह्मर्षियों से घिरे हुए थे। भगवान महादेव अग्नि और वायु के साथ वहां थे।

There is the god Mahādeva, there is fire, with the wind, the moon, the sun, the dharma, the supreme being, and Mercury. The moon and the sun were there and Dharma and Parameṣṭhi and Budha.
वहाँ भगवान महादेव हैं, वहाँ अग्नि है, वायु, चंद्रमा, सूर्य, धर्म, सर्वोच्च प्राणी और बुध है। चंद्रमा और सूर्य वहां थे और धर्म और परमेष्ठी और बुद्ध थे।
The vaikhānasa-s were there and the vālakhilya-s, those who had resorted to the forest, the marīcipa-s, the unborn ones, those who were not deluded and other ascetics who were born from energy. All these riṣi-s were paying homage to the grandfather.

There wasn't the tiniest part of her body that wasn't perfect in the wealth of its beauty and that failed to attract the gaze of the beholder.

She was like Śrī herself, beautiful and desirable. She captivated the eyes and the hearts of all beings.

Because she had been created bit by bit from the essence of all gems, the grandfather gave her the name of Tilottamā.

The grandfather said: "O Tilottamā! Go to the āsura-s Sunda and Upasunda. O fortunate one! Seduce them with your desirable beauty.
दादाजी ने कहा: "हे तिलोत्तमा! असुर-सुंद और उपसुंद के पास जाओ। हे भाग्यशाली! उन्हें अपनी वांछनीय सुंदरता से मोहित करो।
Act in a way so that you create dissension among the two of them, when they see how perfect your beauty is."

Nārada said: She agreed to do this. Paying homage to the grandfather, she circumabulated the gods assembled there.

The illustrious one faced the east, Māheśvara faced the south. The other gods faced the north, while all the riṣi-s faced various directions.

But while she was thus circumabulating the gods, only Indra and the illustrious god Sthāṇu managed to maintain their composure.

For the great Indra too, one thousand large and red-tinted eyes appeared everywhere, on his back and on his sides.

Thus, in ancient times, Mahādeva Sthāṇu came to possess four faces and the slayer of Bāla came to possess a thousand eyes.

As Tilottamā walked around, all the masses of gods and the riṣi-s turned their faces in the direction that she followed.

After Tilottamā had departed, the one with the welfare of the worlds in his mind, asked all the gods and the riṣi-s to leave."
